This incident, where farmers organized resistance for three years against the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, which had been transformed into a government-controlled body during the Yushin era dictatorship, became the first case since the Amtaedo Tenant Farmers' Struggle in the 1930s in which farmers won compensation from the government. It led to the democratization of the agricultural cooperative and became an important milestone in the Korean farmers' movement.
The "Solid Education" section introduces "Yeosu Dabom Classroom" and "Neulbom Mokpo," care models tailored to local characteristics. In the Ungcheon area of Yeosu, where a rapid increase in the school-age population led to a shortage of care spaces, the education support office and residents collaborated to utilize unused apartment spaces. "Neulbom Mokpo" connects students from both the old and new downtowns through a hub model. Both spaces have become a second school and a comfortable, enjoyable place for students.
The "High School Credit System Core Tips" section answers frequently asked questions about the high school credit system, which was fully implemented this year, in a Q&A format based on inquiries received by the Jeonnam High School Credit System Support Center, helping parents and students better understand the system.
The "Exciting Field" section covers the joint education program between Suncheon High School and Suncheon National University. Suncheon High School, selected as an Autonomous Public High School 2.0, and Suncheon National University, chosen as one of the Glocal University 30, have been operating a joint curriculum since 2024. Through this, high school students are exploring their career paths by attending lectures given by university professors on campus.
The "Family" section introduces the Gurye village school community "Cheongcheonirang." It features interviews with the representative of the Cheongcheonirang village school, who relocated to Gurye, and the president of the Cheongcheon Elementary School Parents' Association, sharing the secret to maintaining a stable student population at Cheongcheon Elementary School. The "Forest" section explores the history, legends, and modern significance of the Seosicheon Environmental Forest in Gurye.
To encourage reader participation, the newsletter offers various sections, including ▲"School Days Memories" photo submissions ▲reader letters about the daily lives of the education community ▲"I Am Also an Artist" illustration coloring, and more. Selected works receive a small honorarium.
The "Dreaming of the Future Together" newsletter is available free of charge to everyone and can also be accessed as an e-book.
