Siheung-si Recruiting 45 Participants for Youth International Exchange Program

Historical Exploration of Germany for Middle and High School Students
Youth Planning Training Group Also Operated

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the '2025 Siheung City Youth International Exchange Program' targeting middle and high school students as well as late adolescents in the area.

This year's event, themed 'Siheung Dream Trees into the World!', will be conducted in two categories: ▲ Overseas Study Tour Group Historical Exploration ▲ Planning Training Group Career Exploration.

The Overseas Study Tour Group will visit Germany to experience the history of division and unification, focusing on historical exploration. Eligible participants are students residing in Siheung City from 1st year middle school to 3rd year high school. The number of participants is limited to 20. Participants will visit major cities in Germany from August 5 to 12 and engage in exchanges with local youths. Prior to the trip, participants will gain an understanding of the historical background through various educational and in-depth activities. Applications will be accepted until the 2nd of next month, followed by document and interview screenings to select participants. Airfare must be borne by the participants.

The Planning Training Group is a program where youths aged 19 to 24 form teams of 2 to 5 members, choose a free topic, and strengthen their global competencies through overseas training in various countries. A total of 25 participants will be recruited, including 15 for career topics and 10 for culture and university topics.

The newly introduced 'Culture and University Topic' this year is an exchange program between students of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Siheung youths. NUS students will visit Siheung from June 28 to 29 to experience homestays, and in August, Siheung youths will visit NUS to interact with local students.

Teams selected for the Planning Training Group will receive support of 1.5 million KRW per person, up to a maximum of 7.5 million KRW per team. The city will also provide pre-safety education, team activities, and consulting. Applications will be accepted until the 9th of next month.
