Prime Minister's Office "Respects Constitutional Court's Suspension Decision on Justice Nomination"

The Prime Minister's Office stated on the 16th that it "respects" the Constitutional Court's decision to suspend the effect of the nomination of a constitutional court justice candidate by Acting President and Prime Minister Han Deok-su, and said it "will await the final ruling on the main case."


On the same day, the Constitutional Court granted a provisional injunction suspending the effect of Acting President Han's nomination on the 8th of Lee Wan-gyu, Director of the Ministry of Government Legislation, and Ham Sang-hoon, Chief Judge of the Seoul High Court, as candidates for constitutional court justices.
