"Korea is not just a simple security ally, but a strong and valuable partner dedicated to the fight for freedom."

Choi Joong-kyung, Chairman of the Korea-America Association, stated this during the opening remarks at the "Korea-US Industrial Cooperation Conference" held on the 15th at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul, emphasizing the importance of expanding Korea-US cooperation beyond security to the economic and industrial sectors.

He said, "The strong military alliance between Korea and the US has played a crucial role in strengthening regional security and supporting America's strategic interests in this region," and emphasized, "Korea is a natural economic partner, especially in President Trump's key aid policies."

Chairman Choi stressed the need to expand cooperation between the two countries beyond security to the entire industrial sector. He said, "Korea is a country with global competitiveness in new energy, shipbuilding, and advanced manufacturing," adding, "If Korea's manufacturing capabilities combine with America's advanced technology, the two countries can enjoy a powerful synergy effect." He also added, "The second Trump administration will continue to recognize Korea as an important economic and industrial partner."

Chairman Choi emphasized, "This conference is a place to discuss how to combine America's technological capabilities with Korea's world-class manufacturing strengths," and stressed the urgent need for active dialogue at the private sector level.
