Kang Seung-gyu Appointed as Chief of General Situation Office, Park Sang-ung as Head of Organization
Lim Jong-deuk Named Chair of National Defense and Security Committee, Kim Min-jeon as Chief Spokesperson

A number of pro-Yoon (pro-Yoon Seok-yeol) incumbent lawmakers, including Lee Man-hee, Kang Seung-gyu, Park Sang-ung, Lim Jong-deuk, and Kim Min-jeon, have joined the campaign of Na Kyung-won, a People Power Party lawmaker who declared her presidential bid.

According to Na's campaign on the 15th, three-term lawmaker Lee Man-hee will serve as the head of the policy headquarters. Kang Seung-gyu was appointed as the general situation office chief, and Park Sang-ung as the head of the organization headquarters.

Additionally, Lim Jong-deuk was appointed as the chair of the National Defense and Security Committee, and Kim Min-jeon as the chief spokesperson. Yang Jeong-mu, the party committee chairman for Jeonju Gap in North Jeolla Province, will serve as the senior head of the organization headquarters.

Lawmakers Lee Man-hee, Kang Seung-gyu, and Kim Min-jeon are classified as pro-Yoon faction. Kang Seung-gyu previously served as the senior secretary for civil society at the presidential office during the Yoon Seok-yeol administration.

As the People Power Party primary evolves into a confrontation between the pro-impeachment (Chan-tan) and anti-impeachment (Ban-tan) factions, this move is interpreted as an effort to capture the support of former President Yoon Seok-yeol's base.

Na, who declared her presidential bid on the 10th, revealed that she visited former President Yoon at his residence on the 5th and was told by him, "Thank you for playing a significant role during difficult times."
