Former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung attended the trial related to the Daejang-dong case on the 15th but did not respond to questions about his future court appearances or the presidential election and headed straight to the courtroom.

Lee appeared at the trial of the Daejang-dong, Wirye, Baekhyeon-dong, and Seongnam FC cases held in the Criminal Division 33 of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Lee Jin-gwan) that morning.
When reporters asked questions such as, "This is your first trial after declaring your presidential candidacy; could you say a few words?" and "How do you plan to attend the trial during the presidential election schedule?" Lee did not answer and entered the courtroom.
During the trial of the Daejang-dong, Wirye, Baekhyeon-dong, and Seongnam FC cases held that day, the procedure to renew the trial due to the change of the presiding judge continued from the previous session.
The court decided at the hearing held on the 8th to hold trials on May 13 and 27, including the presidential election campaign period.
Lee’s lawyer requested the court, saying, "May 27 falls within the main presidential election campaign period, so we would like that date to be excluded. It is just a few days before the election." In response, the court said, "Once the specific schedule is set, please submit related documents to the court and obtain prior approval if necessary," and for now, the dates were set as planned.
