Professor Lee Sunho from the Department of Culinary Arts at Honam University announced on the 14th that the department has agreed to mutually cooperate with Inspire Entertainment Resort regarding job training.
On the 12th, Professor Lee visited Inspire Entertainment Resort, a five-star hotel located in Yeongjong International City, Jung-gu, Incheon, and met with Manager Kim Byeongeun, Deputy Manager Lim Hotak, and Deputy Manager Hong Seonghwa to discuss and agree on mutual cooperation.
Inspire Entertainment Resort is a complex resort consisting of a foreigners-only casino, a multipurpose performance hall, a convention center, a shopping mall, and an indoor water park. About ten graduates from the Department of Culinary Arts (Kim Yongju, Ko Junseok, Kim Junghyun, Jung Hyunseung, Kim Yuna, Seo Youngwoo, Kang Jihyun, Kim Heeyoung, Kim Nanhee, Kim Yongjae) are currently working there, and Professor Lee also conducted on-site guidance during the visit.
Kim Yongju, a graduate from the class of 1999 (the first graduating class), completed a two-year program at Hattori Culinary School in Japan and earned a doctorate from Kyonggi University Graduate School of Foodservice Management. He is currently serving as a manager at Chef's Kitchen in Inspire Hotel.
Graduates of the Department of Culinary Arts are working at foodservice and food companies such as Sangha Farm, SK Hoonid, CJ Freshway, and Samsung Welstory. They have also achieved remarkable results by finding employment or starting businesses at places such as Hong Kong Gold Moon Restaurant, The Moon, Namjjokmaeul Doljjajang, Kazuku, Manwoljuga, Dajak Co., Ltd., Devotion Food Co., Ltd., and Pakuyor.
