Roborobo is gaining momentum. This is interpreted as being influenced by Lee Jae-myung, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stating that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education should be strengthened to nurture the nation's artificial intelligence (AI) talent.
As of 10:09 AM on the 14th, Roborobo is trading at 3,800 KRW, up 7.34% compared to the previous day.
On the same day, Lee Jae-myung announced an AI policy as his first presidential pledge, centered on large-scale government investment. He stated that he would open an era of 100 trillion KRW investment in AI to establish the foundation for leading the so-called 'K-AI,' proposing specific measures such as reorganizing the presidential advisory body on AI, fostering specialized talent, and promoting free AI chatbots.
Lee also presented plans for talent development. He envisions establishing AI colleges at regional hub universities to cultivate specialized talent and expanding military service exemptions for talents in related fields.
Specifically, he said, "We need to introduce STEM programs for AI and strengthen education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, that is, STEM education. We will establish AI colleges at regional hub universities and further nurture master's and doctoral-level specialized talent."
Meanwhile, domestic edutech company Roborobo has signed an agreement to provide its products and educational content for STEM education within AMD's 'Digital Impact Project,' a social responsibility initiative by the global leader in high-performance and adaptive computing.
