Mokpo Coast Guard Launches Marine Safety Culture Campaign at Island Daffodil Festival

Strengthening Maritime Safety Campaigns and Festival Venue Safety Management

Mokpo Coast Guard Station (Chief Chae Sujun) announced on the 14th that the Jido Police Box made every effort to operate a promotional booth for the spread of maritime safety culture and to manage safety during the '2025 Seom Daffodil Festival' held in Seondo, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.


The Seom Daffodil Festival, one of Sinan-gun's representative spring festivals, is held in the Seondori area of Jido-eup, Sinan, under the theme 'Filling Sinan's Spring with Daffodils,' offering a variety of attractions and experiences.

The main contents of the promotional booth included ▲education on how to wear a life jacket ▲CPR training ▲education on coastal safety accident prevention rules ▲experience wearing Coast Guard uniforms and operating a photo zone, along with various hands-on activities and diverse programs.


This year, approximately 22,000 visitors attended the Sinan Seom Daffodil Festival, and the Coast Guard not only promoted the nationwide maritime safety culture campaign but also dedicated all efforts to ensuring safety management during the festival period.


A Mokpo Coast Guard official stated, "Visitors continue to flock to various local events throughout the year, filled with things to see, eat, and enjoy," and added, "Mokpo Coast Guard will do its utmost to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festivals safely and happily."
