Deepnoid is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as gaining attention as the development of generative artificial intelligence (Generative AI)-based medical devices is becoming full-scale in Korea.
As of 9:45 AM on the 14th, Deepnoid was trading at 6,020 KRW, up 260 KRW (4.51%) compared to the previous trading day.
Generative AI is attracting attention because it can partially replace not only the diagnostic support functions handled by medical AI so far but also the linguistic and intellectual labor of medical staff. It can maximize the work efficiency of medical personnel in departments with extensive document creation, such as radiology and pathology. In the future, it is highly likely to expand beyond reading reports to include summaries of medical records, surgical notes, and discharge summaries.
Recently, Soombit AI received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for a clinical trial plan for software that generates chest X-ray reading reports. This is the first approval of a clinical trial plan for generative AI-based medical devices in Korea.
Accordingly, the first-generation medical AI company Deepnoid is also gaining attention. Currently, Deepnoid is developing and preparing to commercialize 'M4CXR,' a generative AI-based chest X-ray reading report creation solution. M4CXR automatically detects lesions in chest X-rays. It is a medical device that automatically generates draft reading reports for more than 80 diseases.
Deepnoid developed M4CXR as an advanced model compared to its existing chest X-ray reading assistance solution 'DEEP:CHEST.' It was developed by training numerous chest X-ray images and reading reports based on large language model (LLM) technology.
Meanwhile, Deepnoid submitted an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety last month. Once approved, clinical trials will be conducted for three months at two university hospitals.
