Former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon communicated with his supporters through a YouTube live broadcast.
On the 13th, Han expressed his regret over the cancellation of the 'Seokchon Lake Park Happy Walk Event' in Songpa-gu, Seoul, due to bad weather, and greeted viewers via the YouTube channel 'Beyond Today.'
During the broadcast, he expressed gratitude to the pro-Han Dong-hoon (Chinhan) faction members who supported him. He said, "It was the same during the general election, and I was continuously attacked by the majority faction within the party. I was not even in a position to receive good support from the president. At times like that, politicians standing by my side suffer losses, so I am thankful that they continue to share the same intentions."
He continued, "The way to use power well is to let it go," adding, "My promise to step down after just three years in office (for constitutional amendment) is very important in a situation where the struggle for power has become so brutal, as the commitment to let go itself is crucial."
He also said, "The reason for enduring until the end without changing is not due to interests or benefits but because of a philosophy that thinks about the country," and added, "The reason I engage in politics is for all of you to do well, and I intend to continue with that mindset."
He also answered questions about his recent lifestyle and preferences. He lives with two rescue cats and mentioned his favorite games as the PC game 'StarCraft' and the soccer game 'Winning Eleven.' His preferred foods include the spicy flavor of 'Neoguri' ramen and 'milddeok' (rice cake sticks). He said he is a fan of the comics 'Slam Dunk' and 'One Piece.'
When asked about his music playlist, he recommended Shim Soo-bong's 'I Only Know Love' and Prince's 'Sometimes It Snows in April,' saying, "After passing my 50s, my tastes have developed and become repetitive."
Regarding drinking, he said, "Alcohol doesn't sit well with me," adding, "I have a regret that if I were born again and could drink, life might be a little more colorful."
