Suseong Webtoon is gaining momentum. It appears that the news of the Democratic Party of Korea designating so-called 'K-content' such as dramas, movies, webtoons, and games as national strategic industries and expanding policy support including tax credits as part of their presidential election pledges has had an impact.

As of 1:39 PM on the 11th, Suseong Webtoon was trading at 5,210 KRW, up 180 KRW (3.58%) compared to the previous trading day.

A representative from Suseong Webtoon stated, "The global sales proportion of our subsidiary Toomics' webtoons has exceeded 85%, and if the Democratic Party's policy is implemented, we expect to receive significant benefits and momentum."

Suseong Webtoon supplies content not only domestically but also to various overseas platforms in North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Through an original source multi-use (OSMU) strategy based on its own IP, it has secured high competitiveness in the global market. The fact that overseas sales account for more than 85% is a particularly notable strength amid the industrialization trend of exporting K-webtoons.

On the same day, a media outlet reported that the Democratic Party plans to include in its presidential election pledges the designation of dramas, movies, webtoons, and web novels with high overseas expansion potential as national strategic industries, and the expansion of tax credit rates for production costs. This involves expanding the current 5-15% tax credit, which is limited to video content, to cover all K-content, and it is also known that the sunset clause repeal is under consideration.
