The Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center operates the Agricultural Product Safety Analysis Laboratory, which determines the suitability of agricultural products by analyzing residual pesticides.

The Agricultural Product Safety Analysis Laboratory allows farmers to analyze residual pesticides in their products before shipment to confirm their suitability. If a product is determined to be unsuitable, farmers can adjust the shipping schedule to prevent losses, and unsuitable agricultural products can be blocked from distribution in the market in advance, ensuring that consumers receive safe agricultural products.

Farmers who wish to have their products analyzed for residual pesticides should collect 0.5 to 1 kg of the crop 7 to 10 days before shipment, place it in a clean, uncontaminated bag (such as a zipper bag), and visit the Agricultural Technology Center (Future Agriculture Department, Agricultural Product Safety Analysis Laboratory) to submit their sample.

Any farmer who has an address and farmland in Gwangju and is engaged in farming can apply, and those shipping to local food markets or public meal services can use the service free of charge.

On the 11th, Kim Sira, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "We will strive to block the distribution of unsuitable agricultural products in advance and ensure the safety of local agricultural products, so that consumers can trust and purchase safe food."
