Jung Wooyoung, wife of Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dongyeon, is taking a commemorative photo after paying tribute to the bust of her grandfather Jung Bongmo, the first head of the Cheonan branch of the Daejeon District Court, on the 10th.
On the 10th, Jung Wooyoung, wife of Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon, made an unofficial visit to the Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Court to pay tribute at the bust of her grandfather, Jung Bongmo, the first chief judge of the branch.
Chief Judge Jung is known to have gone missing after being abducted by North Korean forces while defending the court until the end during the Korean War.
This bust was created around 2002 when the court was searching for a photograph of the first chief judge, and Ms. Jung, as a family member, provided the photo.
The bust was placed along the route judges take to enter the courtroom, symbolizing the principle of fair and just rulings.
Meanwhile, regarding Governor Kim's presidential candidacy announcement at the airport, Ms. Jung explained, "There was an urgent issue with tariffs, so he had to depart to coordinate a joint response with the state of Michigan in the United States," and added, "I heard that the campaign would be conducted quietly, without slander, factionalism, or money."
