Created 'AI Lee Jaemyung' to Support Election Campaigns in the 2022 Presidential Election

In the domestic stock market, interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technology is growing ahead of the early presidential election. As expectations spread that Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea who is running for president, will focus on fostering the AI industry, AI-related stocks are soaring. The corporate value of Saltlux, which created the 'AI Lee Jae-myung' to assist with election campaigns during the 20th presidential election in 2022, is also increasing.
According to the financial investment industry on the 8th, Saltlux has risen about 37% since the beginning of this month. CrowdWorks surged after the Democratic Party of Korea established the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Powerhouse Committee' in February, chaired by Lee Jae-myung. Saltlux has continued its upward trend as it is known to be participating in the AI Powerhouse Committee. CrowdWorks' stock price has risen 119% this month.
Founded in 2000, Saltlux is an AI specialist company engaged in AI platform supply business, including building AI customer centers and chatbot customer response services. It conducts various businesses across the AI field, from public big data analysis platforms to unstructured and customer voice analysis. Recently, it has been expanding cloud-based subscription services such as AI OpenAPI services, data science SaaS services, large-scale data collection, and cognitive analysis.
Based on the large language model (LLM) LUXIA and a total of nine studio products, Saltlux is promoting projects such as deep question-and-answer (Deep QA) based conversational AI optimized for customers' AI and big data utilization needs, machine learning-based augmented big data analytics, and large-scale AI model development. It also created 'Goopy,' the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s chatbot national secretary with over 20 million users.
Saltlux, recognized for its high technological capabilities in the domestic AI field, has a close connection with Lee Jae-myung. During the 2022 presidential election, it was responsible for producing the 'AI Lee Jae-myung' for the Democratic Party of Korea’s presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung. Based on Saltlux’s metahuman platform, it was acknowledged for having higher resolution and voice quality than other metahumans. Saltlux holds patents related to the creation and editing devices of video content using metahumans, methods for generating video content using metahumans, devices, and computer-readable recording media.
Since then, Saltlux has steadily developed AI-related technologies, anticipating that the existing search market would rapidly shift to AI search services. It introduced 'Goober,' an AI search service capable of global information retrieval and report generation. Goober not only finds and presents accurate answers and sources worldwide but also features AI report auto-generation, social media sharing, and personalized content recommendations, enabling seamless information search and documentation. In response performance comparisons, it recorded higher recency and accuracy than other AI search services such as ChatGPT Search and Perplexity.
Earlier this month, Saltlux launched the large language model 'LUXIA 2.5' through the AWS Marketplace, starting domestic service. It was selected as a pre-registration partner of AWS Marketplace and became the first in Korea to register its LLM as an AMI (Amazon Machine Image)-based product.
Lee Kyung-il, CEO of Saltlux, said, "The expansion of AWS Marketplace in Korea is an important opportunity for Saltlux’s large language model (LLM) to be more easily utilized by customers worldwide," adding, "Customers can now explore, purchase, and deploy our language model LUXIA more quickly through AWS’s streamlined purchasing process."
While overseas AI rapidly expands its domain, Saltlux has consistently developed and introduced technologies to protect domestic AI sovereignty. The data and technological capabilities accumulated over more than 20 years have returned as competitiveness that is not inferior to overseas AI technologies, at least domestically. However, as large foreign capital floods into the AI industry, Saltlux is hoping for national support in fostering the AI industry.
Lee Jae-myung recently stated at the 'AI Powerhouse Committee,' "It is rare for the party leader to serve as chairman, but the AI Powerhouse Committee is very important and the party must focus on it, so I took the chairmanship," adding, "Although AI and related fields have suffered considerable setbacks due to wasted years recently, the general view is that it is not too late yet. A new future is opening centered on AI."
Lee Kyung-il, CEO of Saltlux, who attended the meeting, also reiterated the importance of government roles and political policies. He said, "One of the social impacts AI will bring is the acceleration of polarization and the increase in wealth concentration," emphasizing, "Strategic choices and decision-making are necessary, and the decision-making and driving force of those with the highest authority are extremely important."
