National Sea Trout Cooking Contest and Seafood Consumption Promotion Event
to Be Held on the 19th and 20th
Hongseong County, Chungnam Province, announced on the 8th that it will hold the ‘2025 Hongseong Namdanghang Sea Trout National Cooking Contest and Seafood Consumption Promotion Event’ at the Namdanghang area from the 19th to the 20th.
This event has been prepared to widely promote sea trout, which is emerging as another delicacy of Namdanghang, famous for its razor clams and shrimp, and to increase fishermen's income by boosting the consumption of fresh and diverse seafood from Cheonsuman Bay.
Now in its fifth year, the event will kick off on the 19th with a spectacular opening ceremony featuring celebratory performances. The day will also include a national sea trout cooking contest judged by star chefs, free tasting sessions, a trot music performance, and a variety of other programs.
On the 20th, the main stage at Namdanghang will host youth busking performances, a hands-on sea trout catching experience, passionate celebratory shows by local cultural and artistic figures, and many other attractions.
The Namdang Fishing Village Association will begin food sales for the two-day event from the 10th until May 31st, and is also preparing a ‘Gourmet Journey Following Taste and Style’ course, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Namdanghang and taste fresh sea trout.
