Nudge Healthcare, which has achieved remarkable growth in the digital healthcare sector, announced on the 7th that it has expanded its portfolio to include the B2C (business-to-consumer) mental health domain by acquiring Trost, the No.1 psychological counseling platform in Korea, through its subsidiary ‘Dine’.
The acquisition of Trost is a strategic merger and acquisition (M&A) by Dine, a worker assistance program (EAP) specialist company incorporated as a subsidiary by Nudge Healthcare last year. With this, the mental care platform ‘Nudge EAP,’ covering both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C, has been officially launched, securing the strongest mental health management capabilities in Korea. Nudge Healthcare plans to leap forward as an integrated digital healthcare super platform, encompassing not only physical health but also mental health.
Trost is the first platform in Korea to establish non-face-to-face psychological counseling and provides a wide range of mental health solutions including AI-based counseling, self-care content, psychological tests, meditation, and sound content.
Nudge Healthcare integrated Trost’s services into its flagship health management app ‘Cashwalk,’ completing an all-in-one health management environment that enables both physical care based on walking and running and mental care. Users can easily access everything from self-diagnostic psychological tests to audiobooks, inspirational content, and community-based psychological counseling through the Cashwalk app. Through cash rewards, users can naturally form healthy habits in their daily lives.
Additionally, the company continues to advance and expand its app services for physical health improvement. Recently, Nudge Healthcare introduced a new ‘Health Care’ service within Cashwalk, allowing users to record and analyze various health data and systematically check their health status.
They also operate ‘Genieat,’ an app that provides comprehensive solutions for healthy lifestyle habits. Through various features such as pedometer, diet management, blood sugar and blood pressure recording, and home training content, it comprehensively manages users’ health.
The running category has also been strengthened. Through the ‘Running Crew’ service within the Cashwalk app, customized running programs such as ‘Free Running’ and ‘Running Plan’ are offered to expand user participation. In 2024, a strategic investment was also made in ‘Runnable,’ a running-specialized platform.
Based on Cashwalk’s strong user network and data, Nudge Healthcare plans to build a wellness ecosystem combining running and walking to propose a healthy lifestyle to more users.
Jungshin Park, CEO of Nudge Healthcare, emphasized, “With the recent acquisition of Trost, we have taken a step forward as an integrated digital healthcare platform encompassing both physical and mental health. We will continue to expand services and portfolios that provide practical help to users and actively support the formation of healthy lifestyle habits through Nudge Healthcare’s unique reward-based system.”
