On the 6th (local time), at the Broken Sound Old Course (par 72, 7,008 yards) in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, during the final 3rd round of the PGA Tour Champions James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational (total prize money $2.2 million), he made 5 birdies and 2 bogeys for a 3-under 69. His final total was 9-under 207, securing 2nd place.


Choi Kyung-ju was tied for the lead at 10-under through the 16th hole (par 5) with ?ngel Cabrera (Argentina), but Cabrera took a one-stroke lead with a birdie on the 17th hole (par 4), and Choi lost a stroke on the 18th hole (par 4), widening the gap. Choi has won twice on the PGA Tour Champions, which is for players aged 50 and over. His most recent victory was at last July's Senior Open Championship. He earned $193,600 (about 280 million KRW) for his runner-up finish in this tournament.


Cabrera (Argentina) reduced his score by one stroke to finish at the top with 11-under 205. He claimed his first win on the PGA Tour Champions, taking home $330,000 (about 480 million KRW). Korea's Wi Chang-su finished tied for 18th (1-under 215), and Yang Yong-eun ended the tournament tied for 50th (6-over 222).
