The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has expanded the 'Gyeonggi Education Lawyer Pool' to 327 members to enhance the protection of educational activities for school staff and strengthen legal support. This is an increase of 126 members compared to last year.
The Gyeonggi Education Lawyer Pool is a human resource group organized to provide prompt and professional legal advice to school staff in the province who may face various legal disputes during educational activities.
Accordingly, the Gyeonggi Education Lawyer Pool will play roles such as ▲free legal consultations on laws and procedures based on case acceptance ▲adjusting the maximum fee per lawyer per trial level to within 10 million KRW when appointed as a personal legal representative for school staff ▲adjusting the maximum fee for lawyers accompanying police (prosecutor) investigations on site ▲providing professional legal training (education) support to schools and education support offices.
Lim Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Education, previously stated, "Protecting the educational activities of school staff is a crucial matter directly linked to guaranteeing students' right to learn," and promised, "With the expansion of the 'Gyeonggi Education Lawyer Pool,' we will actively support school staff to be protected from legal issues and to focus on educational activities in a stable educational environment."
