Former President Yoon Seok-yeol has been impeached, and Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the ruling party, saying, "They must immediately expel Yoon Seok-yeol, the party's No. 1 member, and discipline all affiliated lawmakers who participated in the act of rebellion."

At the Democratic Party lawmakers' meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido on the 4th, Floor Leader Park stated, "The People Power Party bears an indelible and great responsibility for protecting Yoon Seok-yeol, sympathizing with the rebellion, and escalating the national crisis and social turmoil." Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, also attended the meeting and listened attentively to Park's remarks. Before the meeting began, lawmakers exchanged handshakes and greetings such as "Thank you for your hard work," "Good job," and "Glad it's over quickly."

Floor Leader Park did not forget to criticize former President Yoon as well. He pointed out, "Yoon Seok-yeol showed no reflection or apology despite the Constitutional Court's decision," adding, "He must pay the price for pointing a gun at the people and for destroying the constitution, which plunged the country into crisis."

He also emphasized the Democratic Party's role after the impeachment of former President Yoon to the lawmakers. Floor Leader Park said, "We have painfully confirmed over the past four months that when the constitutional order and democracy collapse, the economy also shakes," adding, "It is our duty to create a country where the people can enjoy freedom and peace without threats to their daily lives and democracy." He continued, "We must also firmly extinguish the remaining embers of the rebellion," and added, "I believe our lawmakers will take responsible action and do so."

Finally, he said, "The Democratic Party of Korea will protect the democracy that the people have defended even more firmly," and "We will do our best to care for the people's lives and build a better country."
