Kim Yong-min, the Democratic Party's senior deputy floor leader, posted on his Facebook around 11:26 a.m., shortly after the court's ruling, saying, "Unanimous dismissal, a great victory for the citizens of the democratic republic," and added, "The door to ending the internal rebellion has opened," in a brief message.
Park Beom-gye, a Democratic Party lawmaker who attended the Constitutional Court's impeachment ruling for President Yoon, described it as "a perfect decision with an 8-0 unanimous vote and no dissenting opinions."
Park assigned significance to the ruling time of 11:22 a.m. as "a Korea that starts again," stating, "History sometimes experiences backlash but ultimately progresses. Backlash self-destructs through balance."
Another Democratic Party lawmaker, Park Ji-won, wrote on Facebook that day, calling it "a great victory for the people" and "welcoming the Constitutional Court's perfect decision without a shred of doubt."
Park said, "Now we must move toward a national grand reform and the future," adding, "We must cut out all seeds of internal rebellion that deny the existence of the people, the press, and the opposition party itself to move forward." He emphasized, "Based on the court's decision, thorough investigation and punishment of Yoon Seok-yeol, Kim Geon-hee, and those involved or complicit in the internal rebellion must be carried out to clear the past."
Regarding the government, he said, "All assets must be mobilized to take care of people's livelihoods, diplomacy, and security," and concerning the upcoming early presidential election, he stated, "The political sphere must take the lead in national unity and build a new Korea through the best reform regime change."
Jeon Jae-soo, also from the same party, wrote on Facebook, "Today, the Constitution and democracy of the Republic of Korea protected themselves," adding, "The president's declaration of emergency martial law and attempt to seize the National Assembly were acts not permitted by the Constitution, and ultimately the Constitutional Court upheld the impeachment."
Jeon said, "The values we share are clear. The Republic of Korea belongs to the people, and power must exist for the people." He continued, "Now we must move forward again. We must erase the traces of wrongful power, restore broken trust, and together build a stronger democracy and a fairer country."
