'Impeachment Opposition' Jeon Hangil: "Will Accept Any Constitutional Court Decision... Lee Jae-myung Should Also Accept"

"No Matter the Verdict, the People Must Not Fight Among Themselves"

Jeon Han-gil, a Korean history instructor who has been at the forefront of opposing the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, said, "Regarding the Constitutional Court's ruling, Jeon Han-gil will accept any decision for now," and added, "I hope Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and the Democratic Party will also accept it."

On the 4th, Jeon posted on his social media, "Finally, the day of destiny has dawned," and said, "It is the day of the Constitutional Court's ruling on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, 123 days after the declaration of emergency martial law on December 3."

He said, "I am hoping for either a 4-4 dismissal or an 8-0 rejection at the last moment," but added, "Since the result is uncertain, I start the day with a prayer to God amid anxiety."

Jeon stated, "Anyway, I came out onto the asphalt shouting 'Oppose impeachment, protect liberal democracy,' prepared to be criticized, so it is okay to be insulted and blamed," and continued, "My only hope is that the Republic of Korea, a liberal democracy, is protected, and that a society respecting the rule of law, fairness, and common sense is passed on to the 20s and 30s generations and future generations."

He also said, "Regardless of the Constitutional Court's ruling today, there are no winners or losers," and added, "Our people should not fight among themselves. If a robber tries to enter through the front door, can a husband and wife or parents and children be fighting?"
