Yeonggwang County in Jeollanam-do is officially launching the "Yeonggwang Rest Tour" this month, offering a healing journey that combines historical, cultural, and natural attractions.

The Rest Tour, which has been steadily loved since its inception in 2023, has expanded to three courses this year by adding a themed botanical garden, water relaxation spot (Mulmeong Rest Area), and Hyanggyo (Confucian School) to the existing popular routes, providing tourists with a wider range of choices.

The Yeonggwang Rest Tour will run every Saturday from the 19th of this month until November 1, rotating through the Badarang (A), Supirang (B), and Munhwarang (C) courses. The tour departs from the Gwangju U-Square (bus terminal) bus stop at 9:30 AM and from the Gwangju Songjeong Station intercity bus stop at 10:00 AM.

Specifically, the Badarang (A) course includes the themed botanical garden, Supjaengi Flower Hill, Baekje Buddhism First Landing Site, and Baeksu Coastal Road. The Supirang (B) course covers Bulgapsa Temple, theme park, Mulmeong Rest Area, Supjaengi Flower Hill, Baekje Buddhism First Landing Site, and Mulmusan Happiness Forest Hwangto Trail.

The newly added Munhwarang (C) course offers a cultural experience of Yeonggwang, visiting Supjaengi Park, Baekje Buddhism First Landing Site, Maegandang Old House, Mulmusan Happiness Forest, and Hyanggyo.

In Yeonggwang, a place with a thousand years of history, visitors can take a break from their busy daily lives, enjoy beautiful scenery, and savor the taste of Yeonggwang with a special grilled gultbi set meal provided for lunch. The tour fee is 30,000 KRW per person, including bus fare, lunch, and snacks. Children under the age of five can join for free.

The tour operates on a reservation-only basis. Reservations can be made by calling Narago Express Tour or online through the Yeonggwang County website (Culture & Tourism/Yeonggwang Rest Tour menu) after identity verification. One person can make reservations for multiple participants as a representative. Reservations close at 5 PM the day before the tour.
