The Gyeonggi-do Special Response Team conducted a fire drill for the fire at the firefighting helicopter hangar.
The Special Response Team stated that over two days, from the 1st to the 2nd, they carried out a practical firefighting drill to prepare for fire situations, aiming to minimize damage to firefighting helicopters and hangar facilities through swift and effective response in the event of a hangar fire, and to prevent loss of air power.
The main drills included ▲ mastering the operation of firefighting vehicles ▲ training on water spraying techniques during fires ▲ fire suppression training using chemical vehicles ▲ rapid movement and evacuation drills for firefighting helicopters.

In particular, assuming an oil fire that could occur inside the hangar, fire suppression training using chemical vehicles, which employ special extinguishing agents, was also conducted simultaneously.
Additionally, evacuation drills for the safe movement of firefighting helicopters were conducted to check the rapid evacuation procedures for aircraft and personnel in case of fire.
Kim Tae-yeon, head of the Special Response Team, said, "Repeated training is essential to respond quickly even in unexpected emergency situations," adding, "We will continue to do our best to secure the safety of firefighting helicopters and prevent loss of air power through ongoing training."
