Anseong-si to Provide Financial Support at Each Stage of Marriage and Childbirth

Anseong City announced on the 1st the implementation plan for the 'Seedling Couple Growth Support Fund' policy, which will provide local currency support in stages according to marriage and childbirth for newlyweds in the area starting from July.

This system was established to promote stable local settlement and childbirth among newlyweds. The support fund is provided in two stages according to the timing of marriage and childbirth.

The first support fund will be given to newlyweds who register their marriage after July. Eligible couples are those under 49 years old who have resided in Anseong City for more than one year as of the marriage registration date. Applications must be submitted within six months of the marriage registration. The support amount is 1 million KRW, paid in local currency. However, if the spouse's address is different, the applicant must complete the move-in registration within 30 days after the marriage registration to qualify for the support.

The second support fund is provided if the first child is born within 10 years after receiving the first support fund and one year has passed since the birth date. Applications must be submitted within six months after reaching one year from the birth date. The second support fund is also 1 million KRW.

For more details regarding the support, please contact the Social Welfare Division of Anseong City Hall.

A city official said, "This support project will not only reduce the economic burden on newlyweds but also have a positive impact on the local economy and demographic structure," adding, "We will continue to create an environment where newlyweds can settle in a city that is good to live in."
