iToxsi (CEO Jeon Bong-gyu) announced on the 27th that it has received 100% of the export payment for the first shipment of 150 units (approximately KRW 4.7 billion) out of a total export contract of 400 units (approximately KRW 12.5 billion) of KG Mobility pickup trucks Musso Grand to Ukraine's Spec-Com-Service (hereinafter SKS Group) and has proceeded with the export shipment.
Since the second half of last year, iToxsi has been participating in pickup truck bids for Ukrainian public institutions together with the local SKS Group. Recently, in the pickup truck bid of the Ukrainian National Police Agency, KG Mobility's Musso Grand secured the supply contract by surpassing the strong competitor, the French Peugeot pickup truck Landtrek.
The total export volume is 400 units, shipped in two batches. Due to the urgent request from the Ukrainian National Police Agency, production and shipment were completed promptly. The first supply of 150 units (approximately KRW 4.7 billion) departed from Busan Port and is scheduled to arrive at Gdansk Port, Poland, on May 25, where it will be delivered to the SKS Group.
The SKS Group includes subsidiaries such as ‘Polika,’ Ukraine's No.1 special vehicle manufacturer, boiler manufacturer ‘Koteka,’ and industrial tool manufacturer ‘Lvivus.’ In particular, ‘Polika’ ranks first in manufacturing and selling special vehicles for construction and freight transport and supplies special-purpose public vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, street sweepers, and tank trucks to major public institutions including the police agency, fire department, and local governments.
Andriy Kostyk, Purchasing Director of SKS Group, said, “I visited Korea for the first time for this urgent export shipment,” and added, “Currently, with rising hopes for the end of the war in Ukraine, the demand for 4-wheel pickup trucks for post-war damage restoration has surged.”
He continued, “Especially in war-damaged areas where road damage is severe, general passenger cars and freight trucks have difficulty passing, so pickup trucks have been designated as key transportation means for major public institutions. Thanks to the active cooperation of iToxsi and KG Mobility, Korean-made pickup trucks have started to be supplied to the National Police Agency. Besides this police bid, we are currently participating in large-scale pickup truck bids for the U.S. Embassy and major public institutions, expecting additional annual sales of about 3,000 units (approximately KRW 100 billion).”
Jeon Bong-gyu, CEO of iToxsi, said, “The reason iToxsi could achieve results related to Ukraine reconstruction projects is based on the human network and sales capabilities built on long-term trust accumulated through past trade and other activities.” He added, “This KG Mobility pickup truck export contract is part of the ongoing reconstruction projects, and iToxsi will solidify its role as a bridgehead between Korea and Ukraine and drive corporate growth by expanding highly profitable projects such as the BFG windshield project.”
