Daedeok District in Daejeon Selected as Excellent Institution for Proactive Administration for Three Consecutive Years

Daejeon Daedeok-gu announced that it has been selected as an excellent institution for the third consecutive year in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Active Administration by Local Governments," following its selection in 2023 and 2024.

Daedeok-gu was the first local government in the country to establish the "OK Daedeok" app service, which enables the receipt of official documents and the submission of civil complaints via a mobile application, allowing residents to handle civil affairs without visiting the district office in person.

In particular, by implementing this as a "non-budget project" with no costs for system establishment or maintenance, the district improved its proactive work processes, enhanced resident convenience, and reduced expenses.

Additionally, Daedeok-gu received positive evaluations for its active administration for taxpayers, such as reducing additional acquisition tax penalties for machinery and equipment to enhance tax fairness, and for promptly designating the Baeksong Apartment area, which is highly vulnerable to landslides, as a landslide-prone area and swiftly carrying out mountain slope protection projects.

District Mayor Choi Chungyu stated, "Being selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years is the result of Daedeok-gu staff working hard to discover and provide administrative services for the benefit of our residents," adding, "We will continue to pursue administration that residents can truly feel, based on active administration."
