Shinhan Investment Corp. on the 27th described Hanamicron as a noteworthy company among outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) providers.


Namgung Hyun, a researcher at Shinhan Investment Corp., stated, "We estimate that this year’s sales will reach 1.5 trillion KRW and operating profit will be 143.3 billion KRW," adding, "which represents an increase of 22.5% and 34.1%, respectively, compared to last year."


He continued, "The separate corporation is expected to recover the non-memory test operation rate to over 70% due to increased AP outsourced volume," and "the Vietnam VINA corporation will expand and ship according to the outsourced processing contract and planned outsourced volume."


He emphasized, "The Brazil corporation’s operation rate will exceed 90%," and "operating profit is expected to increase by 35% this year."


Furthermore, he analyzed, "A spin-off is scheduled for July 1 this year," and "business specialization will be strengthened through streamlining the complex business structure." He also noted, "We expect stabilization effects from the low management shareholding ratio and cross-investment risks," and predicted, "Although stock price volatility is occurring, corporate value will increase after the spin-off."
