[Asset Disclosure] Governor Kim Dong-yeon 3.5 Billion Won, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee 4.3 Billion Won

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon and Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Superintendent Lim Tae-hee reported assets of 3.50506 billion KRW and 4.3348 billion KRW, respectively.

On the 27th, the Government Ethics Committee disclosed the asset declarations of 2,047 high-ranking officials as of the end of 2024, which included this information.

The assets declared by Governor Kim Dong-yeon include buildings (including jeonse lease rights) worth 2.363 billion KRW, deposits of 1.34894 billion KRW, and debts of 210 million KRW. This amount increased by 168.32 million KRW compared to the 3.33674 billion KRW declared at the asset disclosure in March last year (as of the end of 2023).

Governor Kim's office explained that the increase in assets was due to salary and rental income.

Kim Seong-jung, the first deputy governor of Gyeonggi Province, declared 1.2894 billion KRW, and Oh Hu-seok, the second deputy governor, declared 2.5481 billion KRW. These amounts increased by 52.8 million KRW and 109.86 million KRW, respectively.

Jo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters, declared 1.83866 billion KRW, an increase of 183.10 million KRW.

Superintendent Lim Tae-hee declared assets worth 4.3084 billion KRW, a decrease of 389.08 million KRW. Superintendent Lim reported land in Unjung-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam City (298㎡) valued at 1.49199 billion KRW; ten buildings including apartments, commercial buildings, and officetels in Bundang-gu under his and his spouse’s names worth 3.9343 billion KRW; securities worth 710.86 million KRW; deposits of 318.36 million KRW; and debts of 2.35388 billion KRW.

Superintendent Lim’s office stated that the decrease was due to his mother’s death in July last year.

Meanwhile, this asset disclosure is based on the asset changes reported by February 28 of this year, reflecting changes as of December 31, 2024.
