Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Electronics, were described as "creepily sexy" by Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Min-hee in a photo. On the 21st, Choi Min-hee posted on her social media (SNS) a photo of Lee Jae-myung and Lee Jae-yong holding hands, calling it a "creepily sexy scene" and wrote, "A meeting between a twisted-armed boy worker and a third-generation chaebol, and that too, a Samsung golden spoon."

She continued, "Lee Jae-myung, Lee Jae-yong. There is even a movie-like fake news story that they were originally brothers," and claimed, "'50,000 electronics' becoming '60,000 electronics' seems to be an expression of expectations for this meeting." She also said, "I believe Lee Jae-myung will open the future of South Korea competently as a 'successful Jeon Tae-il,'" adding, "This is a photo that expanded my brain." She went on to say, "Is this how new sprouts emerge even on a thorny path?"

Earlier, Lee Jae-myung officially met with Lee Jae-yong for the first time the previous day. Although they met when Lee visited the Samsung Economic Research Institute (SERI) at the end of 2021 during his candidacy for the 20th presidential election as the Democratic Party candidate, it was not an official meeting. On that day, the two attended an on-site meeting at the Samsung Youth Software Academy (SSAFY) in Yeoksam-dong in the morning to discuss support measures for youth employment amid the economic crisis.

Lee Jae-myung stated, "For the country to prosper, companies must do well, and for Samsung to thrive, those who invested in Samsung must also prosper." Although the main topic of the meeting was "youth jobs," Lee emphasized government support to strengthen the competitiveness of large corporations, mainly delivering a pro-business message for centrist expansion. He added, "I hope Samsung overcomes various difficulties, and in the process, a great ecosystem is created, opening a new world where many people enjoy the fruits." Finally, Lee said, "The most important task for the government is to create hope for the people, but unlike the era we lived in, it is difficult for young people to find opportunities," and added, "I am grateful that Samsung is putting its capabilities into helping young people find opportunities."
