Eco-friendly, Low-carbon Urban Railway Goods Including Keychains, T-shirts, and Tape Measures Introduced

Busan Transportation Corporation announced on the 17th that railway goods prepared in collaboration with major domestic railway organizations have been available at the 'Train Mates' Busan Station branch since the 14th.
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) recently launched more than 25 types of official goods for the first time since its founding. The official goods, unveiled for the first time at the railway goods specialty store 'Train Mates', feature the corporation's representative character 'Paileehyu', electric trains, tickets, and include items such as keychains, apparel, and stationery.
'Train Mates' is a goods store jointly operated for the first time in Korea by three railway organizations: Busan Transportation Corporation, Korea Railroad Corporation, National Railroad Authority, and SR Co., Ltd. Customers can find over 230 different items at the store.
The participating railway organizations developed and launched products utilizing their own intellectual property (IP), and added significance by collaborating with small and medium-sized enterprises for mutual growth.
In particular, the corporation developed goods designs themed after the 'Line 1 First Train', which was designated as the nation's first city-registered cultural heritage, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its opening in 2025. In addition, eco-friendly materials such as recycled plastic, recycled paper, and discontinued paper tickets were used to produce the goods, practicing ESG management.
Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, said, "In order to allow not only railway enthusiasts but also the general public to enjoy railway culture, major domestic railway organizations have joined forces to open a railway goods specialty store. We will continue to introduce a variety of content and products, including goods commemorating the 40th anniversary of the opening, to become more familiar and approachable to citizens."
