Operation Divided Into Off-Peak and Peak Seasons Until November 16
Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 14th that the musical fountain at the Namdanghang Marine Fountain Park in Namdang-ri, Seobu-myeon will officially begin operation from the 18th.
The musical fountain will operate from the 18th until November 16, with different operating hours and show frequencies depending on whether it is peak or off-peak season.
During the off-peak seasons of March to May and October to November, the fountain will run five times a day (20 minutes each) from 12 p.m. at two-hour intervals until 8 p.m. On weekdays, only the viewing fountain will be available, so water play is not allowed, but on weekends and public holidays, both the viewing fountain and water play will be available.
During the peak season from June to September, the fountain will be shown nine times a day (40 minutes each) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and both the viewing fountain and water play will be available on both weekdays and weekends.
The fountain will not operate on Mondays, when cleaning and inspections are carried out, or on rainy days. For detailed operating schedules and hours, visitors should check the Hongseong County website before visiting.
Lee Hwaseon, head of the Marine and Fisheries Division, said, "Namdanghang Marine Fountain Park is the largest water play facility in the country (6,600 square meters). Together with nearby Net Adventure, Namdanghang Sunset Observatory, and Nolgungri Marine Park, we hope it will be a special place of relaxation for residents and tourists to beat the summer heat."
Meanwhile, the musical fountain at Hongseong Namdanghang Marine Fountain Park offers a unique and special experience for visitors by using lasers and various lights at night.
