Applications Accepted Until the 27th
Hongseong County, Chungnam Province, announced on the 13th that it will implement the "Old Construction Equipment Engine Replacement Support Project" until the 27th to reduce fine dust and improve air quality.
The project, with a secured budget of 495 million KRW, plans to support engine replacements for a total of 30 old construction machines (forklifts, excavators, loaders, rollers).
The support amount will vary depending on the specifications of the construction equipment, ranging from approximately 9 million KRW up to a maximum of 21 million KRW, and the full amount will be provided without any self-payment required.
Eligible applicants must have their construction equipment registered in Hongseong County as of the application date, and the equipment must be fitted with engines subject to emission regulations applied before 2004 (Tier-1 or lower). The equipment must be capable of mandatory operation for two years and must not have participated in any emission reduction projects for in-use vehicles with government subsidies.
The county plans to select recipients in order of the most recently registered construction equipment, and the selected machines will be assigned an appropriate engine replacement service provider through the Korea Automobile Environment Association to proceed with the replacement process.
However, recipients of the subsidy must comply with the two-year mandatory operation period and pay the acquisition tax.
Applications can be submitted online or by visiting the Environmental Division on the 3rd floor of the annex at Hongseong County Office with a copy of the applicant's ID and the construction equipment registration certificate.
