On the same day in the morning, Acting Minister Kim visited the Ground Operations Command and Ground Component Command to encourage the South Korean and U.S. soldiers participating in FS and urged them to maintain a firm military readiness posture.
After receiving a briefing on the exercise situation, Acting Minister Kim said, "I am very proud and reassured by each and every one of you who are dedicated to the training," adding, "This exercise is highly significant as it reflects the new tactical changes in modern warfare, such as North Korea's increasingly sophisticated nuclear threats and drone attacks."
He also emphasized, "Along with command post exercises, we must actively conduct field maneuver training and integrated defense exercises so that the public can trust and feel secure about the military," and stressed, "Even during the exercise period, ensure there are no gaps in current operations under any circumstances and maintain a firm military readiness posture capable of responding decisively and immediately to any direct provocations by the enemy."
