The Okjeongho Hanwoo restaurant was built as a single-story structure with a total project cost of 3.8 billion KRW (Local Extinction Response Fund), on a site of 2,624 square meters and a total floor area of 800 square meters. It will officially open on the 15th.

With a spacious interior accommodating 154 seats and 10 private rooms, Okjeongho Hanwoo restaurant is fully prepared to welcome families and tourists.

Notably, Ssangam-ri, where Okjeongho Hanwoo is located, has a parking lot that can accommodate up to 300 vehicles for the convenience of visitors to Okjeongho.

It is also a boarding point for shuttle buses that go directly to the Okjeongho Suspension Bridge and Bungeo Island Ecological Park.

Accordingly, visitors expected to flock to the Okjeongho Cherry Blossom Festival, Suspension Bridge, and Bungeo Island Ecological Park from across the country will be able to enjoy delicious Hanwoo beef here, park their cars, and take a shuttle bus directly to the event venues.

The county plans to develop Okjeongho Hanwoo restaurant into a Hanwoo tourism hotspot where visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes made with local Hanwoo beef.

The restaurant will use only the highest quality Hanwoo raised in the pristine nature that our region is proud of, and will offer unique local flavors and premium service.

In addition, it is expected to greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy by promoting mutual growth with local Hanwoo farmers.

Going forward, Okjeongho Hanwoo aims to establish itself as a top-tier Hanwoo restaurant representing the region by linking with tourist attractions and festivals such as the Okjeongho Suspension Bridge, Okjeongho Cherry Blossom Festival, and Imsil N Cheese Festival, playing a leading role in ushering in the era of ten million tourists in Imsil.

The county noted that excitement is already building for the Okjeongho Cherry Blossom Festival, which will be held for two days on April 5-6 at a special stage in front of the Okjeongho Suspension Bridge near Okjeongho Hanwoo.

With cherry blossoms expected to be in full bloom, the opening ceremony will feature congratulatory performances by leading trot singers Son Taejin, Kim Dahyun, Yang Jiweon, and Kang Hye-yeon. There will also be a variety of food including beef head soup, the signature cheese bungeoppang of Bungeo Island, and the Hanwoo restaurant opening on the 15th. The differentiated festival programs and spectacular spring flower scenery are rapidly gaining attention through media and social networks, generating high expectations.

In addition, with the pilot operation of allowing visitors to walk their pets at Bungeo Island Ecological Park until next month, the number of pet owners visiting is also expected to increase.

Starting mid-month, the county expects the various flowers and trees of Bungeo Island to create a magnificent landscape together with the beautiful waterfront scenery of Okjeongho. The county is working to improve user satisfaction and convenience by upgrading the Bungeo Island observation deck, small gardens, rest areas, and walking trails.

Governor Sim Min said, "With 2025 designated as the Year of Visiting Imsil, which marks the beginning of the era of ten million tourists in Imsil, I expect this to become the best destination for visitors to enjoy Imsil's cuisine. I hope many tourists will visit Okjeongho Hanwoo, the Hanwoo restaurant established on the Hanwoo Specialty Street."
