This training was organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute, and was prepared to establish a culture of integrity in public service and strengthen ethical awareness in accordance with the 'Act on the Prevention of Corruption and the Establishment and Operation of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.'

Yangsan City Council invited Kim Gowoon, a professional integrity education instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, to begin with an integrity pledge ceremony, followed by a 2-hour and 30-minute lecture on the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and the Code of Conduct for Local Council Members.

In particular, customized video education content for local councils, which introduced citizen interviews and exemplary stories related to local councils, greatly enhanced the understanding and participation of the staff and received a positive response.

Chairman Kwak Jongpo said, “We will continue to enhance our awareness of integrity through ongoing education and strive to become a local council trusted by citizens through transparent legislative activities.”
