"We Will Continue Pursuing Sustainable Management"
Lotte Fine Chemical announced that it received high ratings in global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability evaluations.
On the 10th, Lotte Fine Chemical achieved an A rating in the 2025 ESG evaluation conducted by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI). This marks a continuous improvement over four years, having raised its rating step-by-step from a B rating in 2022, BB in 2023, and BBB in 2024.
Since 1999, MSCI has annually assessed key ESG issues for publicly listed companies worldwide, assigning ratings on a seven-level scale from CCC to AAA. This year, Lotte Fine Chemical received high scores in carbon emissions and water resource management.
Additionally, Lotte Fine Chemical earned the highest rating, 'Platinum,' in the 2025 ESG evaluation by EcoVadis, a global sustainability assessment organization. This rating is awarded only to the top 1% of companies worldwide. EcoVadis conducts relative evaluations of over 150,000 companies across 185 countries, and Lotte Fine Chemical received excellent evaluations in the environmental and labor & human rights categories.
To strengthen ESG management, Lotte Fine Chemical has proactively published sustainability reports since 2016. In 2021, it established an ESG committee under the board of directors and has been working to achieve mid- to long-term ESG management goals, including ▲enhancing climate change and water resource risk management ▲building a full-process evaluation system ▲establishing a human rights management system ▲introducing a supply chain ESG evaluation framework.
Jung Seung-won, CEO of Lotte Fine Chemical, stated, "Receiving the highest level of global ESG ratings is a meaningful achievement that allows our company, which operates with a high overseas business ratio, to grow sustainably together with our customers and stakeholders. We will continue to strengthen sustainable management going forward."
