Deloitte Korea Group Hosts 'Trump 2.0 Trade Policy Response Seminar'

Deloitte Korea Group will hold the "Trump 2.0 Trade Policy Response Seminar with Deloitte" on March 21 at the 'Forum' on the 3rd floor of Two IFC, Seoul International Financial Center, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.


This seminar is designed to provide an opportunity to explore solutions on how to prepare for the complex and complicated trade issues in the Trump 2.0 era, based primarily on the trade issue response cases from the Trump 1.0 period.

Baeduyong, Leader of Deloitte Korea’s Trade & Digital Integrated Services Group, explained, "This seminar will primarily offer an opportunity to explore ways to effectively manage trade risks by industry and leverage opportunity factors in the Trump 2.0 era, based on practical trade issue response cases from leading Korean companies during Trump’s first term."


The event, which begins with an opening address by Kwon Jiwon, Head of the Tax Advisory Division at Deloitte Korea Group, consists of five main sessions. In the first session, Partner Yoo Junggon of Deloitte Customs Law Firm will present on the topic "Trump 2.0: Risks and Response Strategies of Changing Tariff Policies."


In the second session, Partner Lee Yongchan will present on "Trump 2.0 Trade Policy and Its Impact on Transfer Pricing." The third session features Partner Shim Jongsun delivering a keynote lecture on "The New Implementation Plan for Anti-Dumping Regulations."


In the fourth session, Director Shim Yunsu will present on "Regulations Used as Trade Sanction Measures," and in the final fifth session, Leader Baeduyong will analyze a safeguard response case of a global home appliance market-leading company under the theme "Case Simulation ? Will You Be the First Penguin?"


After the sessions, a Q&A session between presenters and attendees will be held, allowing for in-depth discussions based on the key contents of each session. Participating companies will have the opportunity to directly ask questions about policy changes that may affect them and discuss practical response strategies.
