Revitalizing the Region Through the Second House Support Project
Shinan County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Wooriang) is recruiting vacant house owners to participate in the 'Jeonnam-type 10,000 Won Second House Support Project'.
According to the county on the 8th, the project aims to improve the appearance and increase the utilization of neglected vacant houses. It is carried out under the condition that the vacant house is either remodeled or demolished and replaced with a mobile home, which is then leased to Shinan County free of charge for 5 to 7 years.
The county will provide up to 70 million KRW in support for remodeling or repairing vacant houses, and for mobile homes, the same amount will be provided for purchase and installation costs. Through this support, vacant house owners are expected to reduce the burden of management and increase the value of their assets.
In addition, this project offers benefits to those returning to farming or rural living. By renting the houses for 10,000 won, temporary housing is provided, helping to reduce initial settlement costs. Through this, the county plans to improve settlement conditions and promote population inflow into the region.
A county official stated, "We are actively promoting this project to solve the vacant house problem and help those returning to farming or rural living settle smoothly," and added, "Vacant house owners who wish to participate can check the details in the notices section of the county's website."
