Hansol Paper has secured a construction contract worth 50 billion KRW in Mozambique, Africa.
According to industry sources on the 7th, Hansol Paper recently signed a contract to build sanitary landfills and leachate treatment facilities in Maputo and Matola cities in Mozambique. The contract amount is 55.1 billion KRW. This corresponds to 2.5% of recent sales, and considering that environmental projects are not Hansol Paper's main business, it is regarded as a significant amount.
Hansol Paper explained that it won this project from the Mozambique National Fund for Sustainable Development (FNDS) through a policy project funded by the Export-Import Bank of Korea's Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF). The contract period is 24 months from the start date.
Hansol Paper's Environmental Business Division, which provides comprehensive engineering services, has expanded its market reach worldwide, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America, Europe, and Africa.
The background for winning this contract is attributed to Hansol Paper's differentiated capabilities and experience in various fields such as private and public incineration and power plants, complex environmental plants, overseas public infrastructure projects, paper plants, and construction projects. Hansol Paper participated in this project to support underdeveloped countries.
