Discussion on Current County Administration Issues Between County and Town/Township Chiefs

As uncertainties both domestically and internationally increase and the annual growth rate is projected to be around 1% due to economic downturn, Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province has decided to make every effort to restore the local economy through proactive fiscal spending in line with government policy.

On the morning of the 6th, the county held its March town and township chiefs meeting in the county office conference room, attended by County Governor Lee Yongrok, department heads, relevant officials, and about 50 town and township chiefs.

During the meeting, reports and in-depth discussions were held on key county issues, including the promotion of resident registration transfer for actual residents who have not yet moved in, cooperation in the prompt execution of local finances, road safety inspections during the thawing period, and promotion of special measures during the spring wildfire prevention period.

The county plans to establish a close cooperation system among all departments and towns/townships to promptly execute project budgets in investment sectors such as civil complaints and small-scale resident projects, aiming to achieve 30.6% of the first half target amount for towns/townships in the first quarter.

County Governor Lee Yongrok said, "Town and township administration plays a key role in bringing about changes in county administration closest to the residents," and requested, "This year as well, please pursue administration that residents can truly feel through change and innovation, and ensure the prompt execution of local finances."
