President Trump, speaking at a joint session of the House and Senate 43 days after beginning his second term, declared, "America's golden era has begun," stressing his intention to overturn the previous Biden administration's policies and usher in a new era.
He claimed that the measures taken since his inauguration in areas such as the economy, immigration, and foreign affairs "have achieved more than most administrations do in four or eight years." He also introduced over 100 executive actions implemented since taking office, calling them "just a small part of the common-sense revolution." Specifically, he mentioned freezing federal employee hiring, withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, abolishing environmental regulations, designating English as the official language, and eliminating the 'DEI' (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies.

To address inflation, he announced plans to develop domestic energy sources and reduce government size through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla. Additionally, President Trump mentioned 'tariffs' 18 times during the speech. Following his pledge to impose tariffs, companies such as SoftBank, Oracle, Apple, and TSMC have "decided on investments totaling $1.7 trillion over the past few weeks," he emphasized.
Despite criticism and cynicism from Democratic lawmakers during the approximately 100-minute speech, Republican lawmakers responded with standing ovations and cheers.
