The Changwon Special City Council in Gyeongnam will hold the 141st extraordinary session for nine days from the 6th to the 14th.
To expand citizens' right to know, the Changwon City Council has decided to live stream each standing committee meeting on its official YouTube channel starting from this extraordinary session.

The city administration questions for this extraordinary session are scheduled from the 11th to the 12th, with six council members?Gu Jeomdeuk, Jeon Hongpyo, Jeong Sunwook, Jin Hyeongik, Kim Sanghyun, and Kim Heonil?having applied as of the 5th. The number of participants and topics may be added or changed by the 7th.
They plan to ask questions on current issues such as ▲Pallyong Park Bamgol Yeoul Madang ▲Masan Marine New City project ▲traffic flow problems at Changwon Central Station ▲vacancy of the Changwon Facilities Corporation chairman ▲commercial district revitalization foundation project ▲and Jinhe Coldcheon Village access roads.
Proposed ordinances initiated by council members include ▲Ordinance on the Formation and Operation of Negotiation Groups in Changwon City Council (Councilor Seo Myeongil) ▲Ordinance on the Operation of Changwon City Council Public Relations Ambassadors (partial amendment) (Councilor Jin Hyeongik) ▲Ordinance to Abolish the Reward Payment for Reporting Damage to Public Facilities in Changwon City (Councilor Nam Jaewook) ▲Ordinance on Health, Safety, and Welfare of Changwon City Firefighters (Councilor Seong Bobin) ▲Ordinance to Support Activation of On-site Interpretation for the Visually Impaired in Changwon City (Councilor Lee Jeonghee) ▲Ordinance on Support for Sanitary Businesses in Changwon City (Councilor Kim Gyeonghee) ▲Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance in Changwon City (Councilor Moon Sunggyu) ▲Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Creation and Management of Urban Forests in Changwon City (Councilor Seo Myeongil) ▲Ordinance to Promote the Transition to a Circular Economy Society in Changwon City (Councilor Shim Youngseok) ▲Ordinance to Support River Ecology and Water Quality Conservation Activities in Changwon City (Councilor Jeon Hongpyo), totaling 10 items.
At the 1st plenary session on the 6th, two proposals will also be addressed: ‘Urging Institutional Improvement on the Use of National and Local Government-Owned Property’ (Councilor Nam Jaewook) and ‘Urging Measures to Address Damage Caused by the Shortage of Successor Farmer Management Funds’ (Councilor Lee Cheonsu).
On the same day, councilors Park Seungyeop, Kang Changseok, Kim Gyeongsu, Kim Hyeran, Choi Eunha, Jeon Hongpyo, Baek Seunggyu, and Seong Bobin will deliver 5-minute speeches, and at the 4th plenary session on the 14th, councilors Oh Eunok, Park Seonae, Choi Jeonghun, Park Gangwoo, Kim Yeongrok, Lee Jonghwa, Park Haejeong, and Kim Sanghyun will give 5-minute speeches.
Additionally, during this session, the Changwon City Council plans to decide the period for the 2025 administrative audit and prepare the related plan.
After the adjournment of the 4th plenary session on the 14th, a ‘20th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony for Daemado Day’ will be held.
The council commemorates the ordinance related to Daemado Day, which was established by the former Masan City Council on March 18, 2005, marking June 19?the day General Yi Jongmu departed Masanpo to conquer Daemado in 1419.
