U.S. President Donald Trump was caught limping while walking on a golf course, sparking rumors about his health. Similar health concerns that followed former President Joe Biden have now been raised about Trump, who is the oldest president to take office at 78 years old.

On the 2nd (local time), a landscaping company called ‘Aleman’s Brothers LLC’ shared a video on Instagram showing Trump playing golf at a golf course in Palm Beach, Florida. The issue arose when Trump was getting off the golf cart. He stepped down with his left foot first, then lifted his right leg. However, his right leg was noticeably bent and he limped awkwardly as he stepped down. Even afterward, he walked dragging his right leg unusually.

Netizens who saw the video questioned, “Is there something wrong with Trump’s leg?” and the speculation quickly turned into health rumors. Although the company deleted the video from their account, it had already spread on social media. On X (formerly Twitter), the video has been viewed over 15.4 million times, with numerous comments such as “They attacked Biden for being so old, and now they’re in the same situation,” “If you’re innocent, get a health check and make it public,” and “They should disclose all medical history before the election.”

Experts have suggested various possibilities ranging from muscle weakness to neurodegenerative diseases. Arun Gray, a UK injury rehabilitation specialist, told the Daily Mail, “There is a subtle left-right sway in Trump’s gait,” and “Considering Trump’s lifestyle, including long meetings, symptoms of genu valgum (knock knees) caused by muscle weakness and lack of exercise may have appeared.”

UK aging expert Dr. Veronica Matutite claimed, “It is possible that President Trump is suffering from spinal stenosis due to aging.” This condition, common among the elderly, narrows the passage where nerves run through the spine, causing nerve compression, leg weakness, and difficulty walking.

The recent golf course video has also brought back attention to past instances where Trump walked awkwardly. In July 2020, during his first term, he was seen dragging his right leg at a research institute in North Carolina, attracting media attention. In March last year, he was caught dragging his leg while stepping down from a podium during a presidential campaign rally, and a month ago, he was seen dragging his leg while handing out pizza to firefighters.

However, Trump’s side strongly denied the health rumors. White House Press Secretary Steven Cheung said, “The corrupt media, including the mentally deranged and morally bankrupt progressives, now shamelessly rely on complete falsehoods and fabricated lies,” adding, “They spend their days in the agony of their brains rotting due to Trump delusion.”
