On the 5th, Gwangsan-gu resumed free digital literacy classes for residents at the computer training room on the 6th floor of the district office. The curriculum covers a wide range, from basic computer skills such as document creation to YouTube production and the use of unmanned kiosks. Group classes, which are being held for the first time in five years since COVID-19, are conducted at the Gwangsan-gu Office Computer Training Room and the Advanced Computer Training Center.
For residents who have difficulty visiting the training center, on-site digital literacy education is also provided. When five or more people apply, a professional instructor visits twice a week to teach seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income groups about smartphone basics, video calls, mobile app usage, and hands-on practice with unmanned order and payment systems.
Starting this month, digital lifelong education for those aged 40 and above is also being launched. The courses include smartphone and daily life app usage, video production, and a training program for smartphone instructors. Education tours to rural senior centers are also being conducted in parallel.

Applications for the classes can be made through the Gwangsan-gu website or by phone. Customized digital lifelong education programs are available via the Gwangsan-gu Lifelong Learning Portal 'Baeurangke' and local welfare centers.
District Mayor Park Byungkyu stated, "We will continue to provide customized education and support so that all residents can benefit by bridging the digital divide."
