Udeumji Farm, Net Profit Soars 95% 'Profit on Track'... 36% Average Annual Growth Over 6 Years

Smart farm specialized solution company Udeumji Farm (CEO Shim Yong-bo) announced that its sales last year amounted to 63.94604 billion KRW, an increase of 13.03% compared to the same period last year, and operating profit was tentatively recorded at 3.57334 billion KRW, up 6.58%.

Net profit for the period surged 95% compared to the same period last year, reaching 2.78196 billion KRW.

The focus last year on strengthening cultivation technology and improving facilities led to an increase in yield per unit area.

In fact, the yield per unit area of self-cultivated harvests (tomatoes), which are more profitable than raw materials purchased from general farms, increased significantly by more than 20% compared to the previous year.

Udeumji Farm made it possible to cultivate tomatoes in summer, which is difficult to produce in summer, by developing Korea’s first semi-enclosed glass greenhouse (smart farm), and succeeded in mass-producing stevia tomatoes for the first time in Korea, launching the ‘Tomango’ brand.

Based on this, Udeumji Farm has continuously recorded an average annual growth rate of 37.5% since 2018.

Meanwhile, Udeumji Farm plans to drive sales growth through the production of other crops in addition to the stevia tomato ‘Tomango’.

They have completed greenhouse construction for cultivating European vegetables with high food utilization such as romaine, Batavia, and butterhead, and are currently conducting cultivation tests.

Shim Yong-bo, CEO of Udeumji Farm, said, “We plan to build a more stable and sustainable sales structure by diversifying sales items beyond regular tomatoes and stevia tomatoes,” adding, “European vegetables, scheduled to be launched no later than the second half of this year, will also contribute to Udeumji Farm’s growth.”
