The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 5th that, together with the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service, it will begin accepting applications for the 'Youth Culture and Arts Pass' through the official website starting at 10 a.m. on the 6th.

The Youth Culture and Arts Pass is a voucher that can be used immediately for booking performances and exhibitions on 'Interpark' and 'Yes24'. Any Korean youth who is a resident in Korea and was born in 2006 (between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2006), turning 19 this year, can apply regardless of income. The passes will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on the 6th, with a set number allocated for each of the 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide. Issuance may close early depending on the situation in each region.

Youth recipients can immediately use the points from the Youth Culture and Arts Pass to book tickets for performances and exhibitions such as plays, musicals, classical music, opera, ballet, dance, Korean traditional music, music concerts, and festivals. The issuance period runs until May 31, and the points can be used until December 31 of this year. However, if a user who has received the Youth Culture and Arts Pass does not use it even once by the end of June, their points will be reclaimed. In other words, if the points are not used at least once by June 30, they will become unusable starting July 1. The Ministry plans to support more youth through a second issuance using the reclaimed points.
