Gwangju University Department of Accounting and Taxation Student Wins Korea Productivity Center President's Award

Selected as Outstanding Achievers in ERP Information Management
Awardees Produced for Six Consecutive Years Since 2020

Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 2nd that students from the Department of Accounting and Taxation have received numerous national-level awards, including the President's Award from the Korea Productivity Center.

Recently, students from the Department of Accounting and Taxation?Kwon Soonhyeong, Park Minseok, Choi Hongwon, Kim Chaeyoung (all seniors), and Kim Gayoun (junior)?were selected as outstanding achievers in the national ERP Information Management Academic Achievement and received the President's Award from the Korea Productivity Center.


In addition to this year’s accolades, the Department of Accounting and Taxation has produced five recipients of the same award each year from 2020 to 2024, achieving the honor of having awardees for six consecutive years.


Previously, in December last year, students Bae Gihan and Hong Youngchan received the President's Award from the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, while Lee Woojin and Song Youngmin received the President's Award from the Korea Association of Certified Public Tax Accountants.


The Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University operates a specialized and systematic curriculum, including AI-based ERP practice, financial big data analysis, and tax audit practice.


The department also runs preparatory programs for certified public accountants, tax accountants, business consultants, and accounting and tax civil service positions, and actively supports students in obtaining professional certifications.


Additionally, the Integrated Accounting and Taxation Business Center, established in February last year, is building various business models such as government-commissioned education projects related to accounting, taxation, and legal affairs, paid practical training for employees, and hosting national certification exams, in order to realize Gwangju University's new core value of entrepreneurship.
