Yeoju City Holds Residents' Briefing on Hyeonam 1 District Urban Development Project
Development to Use Mixed Method with 129 Billion KRW Investment
City and Yeoju Urban Corporation to Jointly Create a Livable Hyeonam 1 District
Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) held a residents' briefing session on the Hyeonam 1 District Urban Development Project on the 26th of last month at the Ohhak-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

According to Yeoju City on the 2nd, this briefing session was organized to strengthen communication with local residents and inform them about the progress of the project. About 80 people, including landowners, stakeholders, and local residents, attended.
During the briefing, information was provided on the basic plan of the project, development scope, overall project promotion plan, and the timing of compensation and land readjustment negotiations. There was also a Q&A session to address residents' questions.
The Hyeonam 1 District Urban Development Project covers an area of 319,813㎡ in the Hyeonam-dong area, with a project cost of approximately 129 billion KRW. It will be jointly implemented by Yeoju City and Yeoju Urban Corporation using a mixed method (expropriation, use + land readjustment). Administrative procedures will proceed, starting with a request to Gyeonggi Province for district designation and development plan establishment, followed by the Gyeonggi Province Urban Planning Committee and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Capital Region Readjustment Committee.
Meanwhile, Yeoju City stated that it will comprehensively review the opinions gathered during this briefing and reflect them in the project promotion, while continuing ongoing communication with residents.
