As Songgyohang has been selected as the project site, a total of 5 billion won will be invested over three years from 2025 to 2027, including 3.5 billion won from the national government, 450 million won from the provincial government, and 1.05 billion won from the city government, aiming to expand essential safety facilities in the fishing village area and improve the working environment for fishermen.

Gyeonggi-do plans to newly establish a quay and a communal workspace within Songgyohang, and renovate old facilities such as the fishing ground access road and the pier to create a safer fishing environment.
Songgyohang is evaluated as an area rich in fishery resources with a wide village fishing ground, but it lacks sufficient working space and suffers severe damage to the fishing ground access road, requiring repair and reinforcement of aging facilities.
Park Jong-min, Director of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Life Sciences Bureau of Gyeonggi-do, said, "Through this project, we expect the fishing environment of Songgyohang to be improved more safely and systematically," adding, "We will actively support the smooth progress of the project and continue to participate in public contests to improve the living conditions of fishing villages in the province."
